02 - Dynamic Camera Angles & Fast Paced Motion
Naomi (vs the Machine) is a short cinematic test exploring how AI video tools can be used more like a filmmaking environment than a simple image generator. The goal of this experiment was to treat AI video as a directorial process, focusing on shot composition, pacing, and dynamic camera movement rather than producing isolated clips.
This project became a crash course in cinematic language. I experimented with low-angle shots, side-tracking movement, and rapid action cuts, building the sequence piece by piece as if directing a fight scene. The intention was to see how far AI tools could be pushed toward dynamic, action-driven storytelling, rather than static visuals.

Challenge
The goal was to explore using various AI models to support a more director-style workflow, treating each clip as part of a larger scene rather than isolated generated moments.
What I tested
-
Maintaining character consistency across multiple generated shots
-
Experimenting with dynamic camera language such as low angles, tracking shots, and rapid action cuts
-
Balancing visual consistency with the speed and energy of fast-paced action sequences
-
How well different AI models handle darker skin tones, afro-textured hair, and changing lighting conditions
-
The trade-off between perfect visual continuity and maintaining cinematic pacing
